Gordon McCauley

Gordon McCauley ( born March 9, 1972 in Balclutha ) is a former racing cyclist from New Zealand. He is a multiple national champion in the road race and individual time trial and three times the Oceania.

Even in his early years in the amateur could achieve McCauley both the Tour of Southland, as well as the title of the national road champion. In 1999, he began his professional career with the team Men's Health. In 2001 he won the Archer International Grand Prix for Landbouwkrediet - Colnago. In 2002, he could win this again. He was also New Zealand time trial champion and in the road race and he secured a stage of the Tour of Southland. In 2003 he drove for the Giant Asia Racing Team and repeated his success in the time trial championship and at the Tour of Southland. Two years later he won the Tour in his home country for the first time for themselves. This he finished the UCI Oceania Tour 2006 on the first rank. At the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne McCauley won the bronze medal behind the Australians Nathan O'Neill and Ben Day in the time trial. In the Oceania Cycling Championships, he won the time trial in 2007.

End of the 2013 season, he finished his career as a professional cyclist.
