The HK Gornjak Rudny (Russian ХК Горняк Рудный ) is an ice hockey team from the Kazakh Rudny. The club was founded in 2000 and participates in the Kazakh Cup.

History

The club was founded in 2000 and since then takes part in the Kazakh Cup. In the 2007 /08 season for the first time succeeded in qualifying for the second round. There, the team reached the runner-up title behind Barys Astana. Due to the change of Astana in the Continental Hockey League took over Rudny their place in the second round of the IIHF Continental Cup 2008 /09. There, however, the team retired after three defeats from prematurely. In addition, the team played from 2003 to 2009 in the third-rate Russian Perwaja league.
