Gösta Ågren
Sven Gösta Ågren ( born August 3, 1936 in Nykarleby ) is a Finland Swedish poet, translator and literary scholar at the University of Stockholm. He is Erik and Leo Ågrens brother.
Life
Ågren is editor of the People newspaper Ny Tid ( " New Time " ) was and employee of the Helsinki University Library. He completed a two-year directing course at the Film Academy Svenska Filminstitutet and studied in the 1970s humanities at Stockholm University, where he also with a treatise on Dan Andersson disputed. Ågren debuted in 1955 with the poetry collection och tanke force ( " force and thought" ), but the real breakthrough came in the seventies of the 20th century.
He was a leading member of the Swedish Writers' Association of Finland in the years 1958-1961, 1968-1971, 1972-1977 and 1995 to 1996. Ågren has also directed the film. Most of his work make but for poetry, prose, and radio plays. His works have been translated into Finnish, English, French, Icelandic, Spanish and Russian.
