Gotfrid

Gotfrid but also Gotefrid, Gotefred or Gottfried (Latin Gotfridus or Cotefredus; *; ? † 709) was of the house of Agilolfinger to 709 Alamannic Duke. He was the father of Lantfrid and Theudebald.

According to a document from the year 700 Gotfrid gave at the request of a priest Magulfus in Cannstatt the place Biberburg to the cell of the Holy St. Gallus.

Gotfrid was the Frankish House Liar's Dice against bitterly hostile and defended the autonomy of his duchy against the central power.

As Gotfrid died in 709, raised his sons Lantfrid Theudebald and commonly claim to be the Duke Office.
