Govan

Govan ( Scottish Gaelic: Baile a ' Ghobhainn ) is a district and former burgh in the southwestern part of the Scottish city of Glasgow. Govan is located about four kilometers west of Glasgow city center on the south bank of the River Clyde opposite the mouth of the River Kelvin in the Clyde and the District Partick.

Govan is the birthplace of Alex Ferguson, the former manager of Manchester United. Worth seeing are the sculptures of Govan stones in the parish church.
