The Samtgemeinde county Hoya is an integrated municipality in the district of Nienburg / Weser in Lower Saxony. The name derives from the historic county of Hoya, even after the former county county Hoya was named. 2011 merged the Municipality County Hoya with the integrated municipality Eystrup for now enlarged Samtgemeinde county Hoya. Seat is in Hoya, in Eystrup is a branch of the administration.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms of the county of Hoya Samtgemeinde shows on golden background two, bottom connected, red reinforced, upright bear paws and a blue wave beams. The bear paws are reminiscent of the historic county of Hoya, the wave beams on the Weser.

Fusion

On 1 January 2011 merged the Municipality County Hoya with the former Samtgemeinde Eystrup. Already in 2009, decided the 10 municipalities and the two councils Samtgemeinde the merger. On 7 November 2010, the new joint Samtgemeinderat was chosen. The new integrated municipality mayor Detlef Meyer was elected in a runoff election on 21 November 2010.
