Gran Torre Santiago

Gran Torre Santiago (former name: Torre Gran Costanera ) is a building under construction in the city of Providencia (Chile), the territory of the capital of Chile, Santiago de Chile, which is now the tallest building in Latin America. The building is part of the Costanera Center, where further (smaller) buildings are constructed.

Construction of the building began in 2006. Due to the international economic crisis, the construction work had to be discontinued in January 2009. In December 2009, however, work was resumed on the building. However a result, the completion was delayed from 2011 to 2014. [ Deprecated] the end of 2013 it was suspected in Santiago that the startup could, however, to continue until 2015 or even 2016.

After its completion, the skyscraper with a height of 300 meters to be the highest in South America. The tower will have 70 floors, which will provide 128,000 square feet of floor space for offices. The architect Cesar Pelli (including known for Petronas Towers ), the building has designed.
