Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge

The Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge is an Emergency Wetlands Resources Act after 1986 in 1992 furnished the nature reserve to preserve the typical humid savannah landscape at the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in the United States.

The area is located close to Grand Bay, Alabama in Mobile County and Jackson County between Pascagoula (Mississippi) and Mobile ( Alabama) and, according to completion more than 32,000 acres, comprise approximately 130 square kilometers. It is part of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The responsible manager also manages the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge and the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Access is limited, it is usually done by boat from the Mississippi River.
