Grandelberg

The summit cross on Grandelberg

The Grandelberg is one of the lesser known vantage points in the Eastern Bavarian Forest. It is 1010 meters high and is located about 20 km north of Freyung.

The Grandelberg is the home mountain of Anna Thaler, who built a cross on the summit in 2003. As to the summit leads no marked trail, it is climbed by locals, in stark contrast to the nearby Almberg.
