Grattai Mountain

Grattai Mountain is a 1,412 meter high mountain in Nandewar Range, whose foot lies at 500 meters above sea level in the northern part of New South Wales in Australia. The mountain is located about 38 km from Narrabri, 55 km from Bingara and 62 km from Barraba away.

The Grattai Mountain is located to the 1,502 meter high Mount Kaputar in Mount Kaputar National Park in the field of geological Nandewar Volcano and consists of volcanic rock. It was created about 21 million years ago.

Because the mountain is remote, it is not often climbed, however, hiking trails lead to the mountain and those who climb its highest peak, can be entered in the register book, which is located in a container on top of the mountain.
