Grave Encounters 2 is an American - Canadian horror film about the supernatural, produced in 2012. It also provides the movie sequel to Grave Encounters dar.

Action

The film student Alex Wright is a clichéd horror movie junkie. On his YouTube channel he discusses various horror works daily. From the movie Grave Encounters he is especially tied up, after a short time he is obsessed with the movie. When Alex finds out that the entire cast of Grave Encounters is considered lost, he rounds up his friends, who together visit the real mental institution in which the film takes place. But then strange things happen increasingly in Alex's environment and it confirmed the suspicion that the film might have something to do with it. Now the question arises whether the events of Grave Encounters actually real, or should have been only show. With their knowledge from the first part try the friends, the unspeakably evil to survive. They go further than the protagonists in the film and even find Lance Preston, who has now lingered for 10 years in psychiatry.

The production of the film took place late in 2011 and was first released in the United States on October 12th, 2012. Rapidly after production began, it was revealed that John Poliquin directed and The Vicious Brothers for two authored the screenplay. The first trailer was aired on September 4, 2012. With revenues of just over 8.2 million U.S. dollars, the budget amounted to approximately 1.4 million U.S. dollars.

Grave Encounters 2 was provided in October 2012 in the United States as a download from the iTunes Store and released in Germany on September 24, 2013 DVD and Blu -ray.

The film received on movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes by reviewers only 14 percent. With over 2,684 reviews, the film received 27 percent of the audience. The film is on the website as rotten ( dt: rot ) and thus represents a negative rating
