Gravitation (Manga)
Gravitation (Jap.グラビテーションGurabitēshon ) is a shōnen -ai manga by Maki Murakami, who was also implemented as an anime television series. The manga was continued as gravitational Ex.
The story is about the relationship of the musician Shuichi Shindo for Eiri Yuki novelist.
Action
The 19 -year-old Shuichi Shindo (新 堂 愁 一) and his best friend Hiroshi Nakano (中 野 浩 司), also known as Hiro, have the big dream to work as a musician and Shuichi's idol, singer Ryuichi Sakuma (佐 久 间 竜 一) the band Nittle Grasper to surpass. During her school years, they founded the band " Bad Luck ", which is famous thanks to manager Sakano (さか の) under contract of NG Records. Shuichi doubt continuing on his skills as a songwriter and falls frequently in depression.
One night he meets the lyrics in a park Eiri Yuki (由 贵 瑛 里), who says his lyrics have more than primary school level and he should give up song writing. Since that day, the blond man Shuichi does not go out of my head and he wants to prove to him that he has that "certain something ".
In a date with a girl who Hiro has given him, as Shuichi is frustrated, he sees Yuki pass the café and jumps quickly decided against his car. But Shuichi soon realizes that he has fallen in love with Yuki and he wants to be near him all the time. The 22 -year-old Yuki Eiri is the author of romance novels and became known under this pseudonym, he actually called Uesugi Eiri.
After initial successes as the opening act of the band Ask them is 16-year- old keyboard player Suguru Fujisaki (ふじさき すぐる) allocated by the Shuichi is not even once thrilled. Manga
The precursor of gravitation was a dōjinshi series Murakami titled Help!. She had a similar plot, but the characters had some other roles. After gravity Murakami still produced the 13-part series Gravitation Remix dōjinshi and three Megamix Dōjinshis. Both are assigned to the yaoi genre.
The manga was published from 1996 to 2002 in the Japanese manga magazine Rutile of Gentosha -Verlag. He has also been published in twelve paperbacks. Gravitation appeared among others in Tokyopop in English, at Taifu Comics in France, at Mangismo Danmark in Danish and in Mangismo Sverige in Sweden. The manga was translated into Spanish and Portuguese.
In German the manga was published from 2003 to 2005 when Carlsen Verlag. The translation is by Claudia Peter.
Anime
OVA
1999 Anime OVAs were produced with two episodes from the studio Plum. In this Shin'ichi Watanabe has directed, the character design is by Hiroya Iijima. The OVA was released on 23 July 1999.
Later followed by translation into English, French, Dutch and Russian. The OVA was released in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland of Anime Virtual (now Kazé ) on 5 September 2005 on DVD.
The OVA tells a self-contained story. Before a concert Shuichi 's in a deep and is shunned by Yuki. This has written a song for the Konkurrenzbad Nittle Grasper.
TV Series
The Studio Deen produced in 2000, a 13- episode anime television series under the direction of Bob Shirohata. The character design is by Miho Shimogasa. The series ran in Japan from October 4, 2000 to January 10, 2001, at the station WOWOW.
The series has been translated into English, French and Dutch. The series was released in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland of Anime Virtual (now Kazé ) complete on 5 DVDs. On September 24, 2007, a premium box set, which also contains the two soundtracks in addition to the DVDs appeared.
Synchronization
The German synchronization was carried out by electric film.
Music
The music of the OVA as the series was composed by Daisuke Asakura. For the television series, Takashi Kodama led music director. The songs of the band Bad Luck come from Mad Soldiers.
The header title " SUPER DRIVE" and the song credits, Glaring Dream were played by Yosuke Sakanoue, Kinya Kotani and Mad Soldiers. This also produced the opening credits and closing credits of the OVA, Blind Game again and Smashing Blue.
The soundtrack was released in Germany with Wasabi Records on two CDs.
Light Novels
June Lennon (纯 礼 音) wrote two Light Novels - the Novel Gravitation and Gravitation - voice the temptation - with illustrations by Maki Murakami. The latter appeared in 2006 in a translation at TOKYOPOP in the U.S. under the title Gravitation: Voice of Temptation and former 2007 2007 both Japanese versions were again reissued. .

Radio plays
It further eight radio plays were produced, in which most seiyū (Japanese voice actor ) participated in the series. Five of them tell of events that also occur in the manga, while the remaining three report on new stories. The albums contain songs that are sung by Japanese speakers.
Reception
The manga scene describes gravity as a " Shōnen- Ai -soap, as there are few ", whose protagonists correspond to the normal trading patterns and clichés. The plot was so predictable for connoisseurs of the genre, that it is " almost embarrassing ". The shrink fans but not from, would offer for the female audience, the series ' many cute boys. " The characters are easy to connect to the heart, and lovingly drawn, the clichés well implemented. The manga is stylistically comparable to Yami no Matsuei or DN Angel.
Trying to make the anime with a combination of animated sequences and filmed backgrounds conspicuous, was a failure. Even otherwise, the animation quality keep within limits, be positive about all the episodes kept constant appearance of the figures.
