Great Consolidated Popular Party

It was founded in 1996.

National Chairman of the party was EB Mensah, chief deputy was John Thompson and second deputy was Gilbert Barnor. Be mentioned as general secretary Daniel Augustus Lartey Later ( Dan Lartey ) as party chairman and Nicholas Mensah. Headquarters of the party is Accra. Their motto is: Forward with the people, the logo of the GCPP a different color in red and yellow. A red ring surrounding a yellow center, where a red pigeon is mapped. Under the red ring, the symbol of the party GCPP is placed in large red letters.

In 2000, Daniel Augustus Lartey went to the GCPP as a candidate in the presidential elections Dente shaft and defeated the then election winner John Agyekum Kufuor significantly. The Great Consolidated People's Party has teamed up in 2004 with the Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere Party and the People's National Convention to the Grand Coalition. As a candidate of the Grand Coalition Edward Mahama came to at the Ghanaian presidential elections on 7 December 2004, but lost the election winner and President John Agyekum Kufuor again significantly.
