Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Green Lantern: The Animated Series is an American CGI television series, which is based on the superhero Green Lantern.
Action
The focus of the action is on Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 and Kilowog, another Green Lantern who fight together against the Red Lanterns led by Atrocitus, and the Manhunters. Atrocitus tried doing to take revenge on the Guardians of the Universe for the destruction of his home world.
Production
After Phil Kent, chairman and CEO of Time Warner 's Turner Networks, announced that there is a Green Lantern: will The Animated Series, the first reports, test shots and character studies of Bruce Timm during the 2010 New York Comic Con were presented. At the time, 13 episodes of a complete first season had already been completed, five more planned and a total of 26 episodes ordered. The series itself does not tell is to claim to be a retelling of the comics, but its own story. In the German synchronization Aya was in contrast to the original equipped with a technically alienated voice so it sounds like a computer voice.
Broadcast
The pilot episode was shown previously in November 2011 on Cartoon Network in the program block DC Nation. From 17 March to 26 May 2012 eleven more episodes were shown. As of September 29, 2012, the other episodes should be shown originally, however, the broadcast ended prematurely on October 6, 2012 after two episodes, and continued until January 5, 2013 with the 16th episode. The final episode ran on 16 March 2013.
In Germany radiates cable one the series since January 6, 2013 from about 06:49 clock out. Since December 2013 ProSieben Maxx shows a repetition of the series.
