Green Wind

Midori no Kaze (Japaneseみどりの風, " Green Wind " ) is a political party in Japan. As such, it was founded in November 2012 by members of the previous group of the same name in Sangiin, the upper house of the national parliament, together with the recently acceded Shūgiinabgeordneten Makoto Yamazaki ( proportional representation Südkantō previously Democratic Party).

As a group, Midori no Kaze was founded in July 2012 by four Sangiinabgeordneten that had been leaked or excluded from the government parties, including Kuniko Tanioka ( Aichi, formerly DP), Yasue Funayama ( Yamagata, formerly DP), Kuniko Koda ( Saitama, formerly DP) and Akiko Kamei ( Shimane, a former New people's Party).

Midori no Kaze is decided against the tax increase, a possible participation in the Trans- Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership (TPP ), and nuclear power.

In the party's founding, the previous Social Democrat Tomoko Abe declared ( Shūgiin, proportional South Kantō ) to want to also join the party. Eriko Fukuda, who had beaten at the Shūgiin - election in 2009 in the constituency of Nagasaki two former Defense Minister Fumio Kyuma, the Democratic party left on 16 November 2012 to join Midori no Kaze. On November 19, the former Democrat Akihiro Hatsushika followed ( Shūgiin, constituency Tokyo 16)

At the founding of Nippon Mirai no Tō as a collective party of bourgeois opponents of nuclear power on 28 November 2012, the Midori no Kaze decided not to stand in the forthcoming election Shūgiin 2012; which joined the EU or candidate Shūgiin deputies joined the Mirai no Tō. As an independent Sangiin Group Midori no Kaze should continue to exist first. End of December 2012 after the split occurred in the Nippon Mirai no Shizuka Kamei Tō and Sangiinabgeordnete Makoto Hirayama Midori no Kaze, which they again reached the legal status as a political party of the year prior to the allocation of state funding of political parties in 2013.

Kuniko Koda left the party in March 2013 to change for the upcoming Sangiin choice for Minna no Tō. In May 2013 Tomoko Abe joined, now at only deputy and chairman of the Nippon Mirai no Tō, Midori no Kaze. In the 2013 election Sangiin all Members Midori no Kaze lost their seats. With only two seats in the national parliament, the party is again reduced to the status of " political union ".
