Gregorio Garavito Jiménez

Gregorio Jiménez Garavito SMM ( born March 9, 1919 in Junín, Colombia) is Bishop Emeritus of Villavicencio.

Life

Gregorio Garavito Jiménez joined the Congregation of the Montfortains and received on 24 July 1942, the ordination. He was pastor in the province Peloponeso II and Secretary of Frans Joseph Brul Canisius SMM, Apostolic Vicar of Villavicencio.

John XXIII. appointed him on December 4, 1961 Titular Bishop of Cyparissia and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Villavicencio. On February 11, 1962 he was consecrated bishop of Villavicencio.

On 3 May 1994, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
