Gregory Crewdson

Gregory Crewdson ( born September 26, 1962 in Brooklyn ) is an American photographer.

Gregory Crewdson belonged to as a teenager, a punk rock group called The Speedies. Their hit Let Me Take Your Photo Crewdson takes to become a photographer. He studied with Tod Papageorge. Crewdson staged his photos at a cost that is usually found only in Hollywood movies. His works, which sometimes recall the films of Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch and Steven Spielberg, tell depressing stories from the U.S. life that make the viewer a lot of room for interpretation.

He currently teaches at the Yale School of Arts. Because of the high production effort is his work only from a relatively small number of photographs.
