Gressenhall

Gressenhall is a civil parish in the Breckland District, Norfolk, England. It is 10.53 square kilometers and had 1008 inhabitants at the 2001 census. Gressenhall lies on the River Whitewater near East Dereham.

History

In Gressenhall is the Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum, whose main building built in 1776 and in 1777 its purpose was passed. Even then it was an industrial building which served to give alms receivers work and accommodation.
