Greyhound Canada

Greyhound Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta 's largest and best-known company is in the long-distance bus traffic in Canada. Greyhound Canada is a subsidiary of the Scottish First Group Plc. and has worked with the U.S. Greyhound Lines, and Adirondack Trailways with in a group. The company serves over 1,200 destinations in Canada, has 480 buses and employs over 2,500 employees.

History

In 1929, Greyhound Canada as Canadian Greyhound Coache Ltd.. Founded and headquartered in Calgary. 1935, the company was merged with Greyhound USA. 1987, this merger was redissolved after Greyhound Canada were sold in 1987. 1991 new routes were included in the Greater Toronto Area. In addition, the fleet was expanded. 1998 bought Greyhound Canada Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines competitors from Quebec and shortly after it was taken over by Penetang - Midland Coach Lines, were offered with the new connections in south- central Ontario.

Greyhound Canada operates scheduled lines in eight provinces and territories. These include the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Yukon.
