The Griesgundkopf is a 2,164 m high mountain peaks in the Allgäu Alps.
Location
He is the easternmost summit of the Group of Schafalpenköpfe, lying northeast of Alpgundkopf. North of the Griesgundkopfes is the touristy insignificant Schartenkopf from which the Griesgundkopf is separated by the Griesgundscharte.
Ascent
On the Griesgundkopf leads no marked path. It can be reached either from the southeast from the pathless path to Guggersee or northwest from the Warmatsgundtal. Both paths require slip resistance and mountain experience. The direct increase in the fall line of the summit of the north-west is dangerous not recommended because of the brittle rock.
Summit cross
In 1987, a summit cross was erected on the Griesgundkopf.
