Grounded for Life (Original Title: Grounded for Life ) is an American sitcom. It was first aired on Fox in 2001 as a midseason replacement and abandoned for lack of Networks on the show again in the fall of 2002. The Network, The WB then took over the series, where it was further produced until the end of 2004 and aired until mid-2005. The series was aired in Germany on ProSieben first time and then ran on kabel eins later. Since March 2009, Comedy Central exudes the series from time to time. It's about a typical family in America and its problems. The action location is New York City, most of the district Staten Iceland, where the family lives. The complete series thrives on show in every episode several flashbacks, which explains the occurrence of the current situation of the participants.

Action

The plot of a sequence usually begins with the fact that someone noticed that one or more family members have a problem which is often obvious. The person (s) begin / start the action analeptisch roll up, resulting in more and more members of the family caught up in the events. Humorous often acts the influence of the past on the present. It turns out most of who is to blame for something specific, and that the parents are not always perfect.

Characters

Sean Finnerty is the father of Irish family Finnerty and thus forms actually the head. The series, however, wears well, therefore its name that Father Finnerty is very irritable and can be quickly driven from his children and his wife to madness.

Claudia Finnerty is Sean's wife. You want to represent the sympathetic part in the family, but also is often in trouble and misunderstanding.

Eddie Finnerty is a somewhat strange fellow, brother of Sean, and seems to have links with the mafia. He is mostly calm and he solves problems in a very unorthodox and individual way.

Walt Finnerty is the grandfather and father of Sean and Eddie Finnerty. He is stuck in old behaviors and often does not understand the more modern type of Sean and Claudia.

Henry Finnerty is the youngest son of the family and still very child-like. Often He does not understand simple relationships and makes this often something wrong.

Jimmy Finnerty is the elder son of Sean and Claudia and is in the middle in the early stages of his puberty, which is for the family and it is often not easy.

Lily Finnerty is the oldest child. The 16 - year-old daughter of Finnertys tried many episodes of the series long to get hold of a boy named Dean, until she realizes that actually is Brad O'Keefe, the annoying neighbor boy right for them.

Brad O'Keefe is the beginning of the annoying neighbor boy next door who's always trying to get at Lily, until he manages on her birthday, to sleep with her and then comes together with her.

Mr. O'Keefe is the neighbor of Finnertys and competes very happy with Sean.
