Group 5 element

In the fifth group of the periodic table the elements vanadium, niobium, tantalum, and the element first produced in 1967 contained 105 Dubnium. The group is also referred to by the first member as vanadium group.

All metals from the group have similar chemical properties (in the form of the oxidation states 5 and 3). Niobium and tantalum occur in nature often face due to the nearly identical lanthanide atomic and ionic radii socialized. The oxides of vanadium, niobium and tantalum were referred by their very nature as an acid formerly known as acid soils or earth acids.
