Grzegorz Kacała

Grzegorz Kacała ( born March 15, 1966 in Gdańsk ) is a Polish former rugby union player.

Career

Kacała among the most successful rugby union player of Poland. In his teenage years he played with the Polish rugby clubs RC Lechia Gdansk and Sopot MKS Ogniwo. Later he moved to the French professional league and came to positions with Olimpique Creusot and FC Grenoble for the rugby club CA Brive used, with which he won in 1997 as a single pole of the Heineken Cup and in the final he was the Man of the Match awarded. His active career ended in 2001 when Welsh Rugby Kacała Cardiff RFC.

During its active phase Kacała played in 30 games for the Polish national team. After end of his career he began to work as a trainer in the Polish rugby league.
