Grzegorz Sandomierski ( pronunciation: [ ɡʐɛɡɔʐ sandɔm ɛrski ʲ ] ) ( born September 5, 1989 in Białystok, Poland ) is a Polish footballer.

Club career

Grzegorz Sandomierski playing on the position of the goalkeeper. The 1.96 m tall players went through all the youth teams of Jagiellonia Białystok and made the leap in 2006 to the 2nd team of the club, but was loaned to second half of the 2006/2007 season to the second team of Lech Poznan. After his return to Jagiellonia, he graduated from in the season 2007/2008 in 5 games in the Ekstraklasa. The first half of the 2008/2009 season he was injured from complete and has been checked out early 2009 Ruch Wysokie Mazowieckie, where he made 15 games in the 3rd Polish League. In the 2009/2010 season Sandomierz was 564 minutes without conceding in the Ekstraklasa, which is a club record. Since the season he is after impressive performances the No. 1 goal of Jagiellonia Białystok. In August 2011, Sandomierz left the Ekstraklasa and moved to the Belgian champions KRC Genk to replace the migrated Thibaut Courtois to Atlético Madrid there. The transfer fee is said to have amounted to approximately € 1.6 million. However, the Poles could there not too very convincing and not prevail against the Hungarian goalkeeper László Köteles and was borrowed during the winter break back to his old club Jagiellonia Białystok. After his return in the summer of 2012, he was end of August 2012 on loan for the 2012/13 season to the English second division club Blackburn Rovers, which also secured a purchase option.

National

In the senior national team debut in a 2-2 draw Grzegorz Sandomierski against Bosnia- Herzegovina on 10 December 2010. Previously he played five times for the White - Red.
