Guacara Municipality

Guacara is a district ( municipality ) in the state of Carabobo in the north of Venezuela.

It has an area of 165 km ², about 174 868 inhabitants ( estimates for 2008 ) and the headquarters is the city Guacara. In the south, it borders on the Valenciasee, on the east by the county of San Joaquin, in the north- east by the state of Aragua with the Coast Mountains, on the northwest by the municipality of Puerto Cabello and to the west by the districts of Los Guayos and San Diego.

The municipality is divided into three municipalities ( parroquias ):

  • Ciudad Alianza
  • Guacara
  • Yagua

  • Church of San Agustín in Guacara.
  • Petroglyphs of Vigirima and Indian Exhibition
  • Quinta Pimentel Pimentel or villa, country house of a friend of the dictator Juan Vicente Gómez, who owned many areas around the Valenciasee at the beginning of the 20th century.
