Güepsa is a municipality in northwestern Colombia, which belongs to the province Vélez in the south of the department of Santander. Güepsa is located about 245 km from Bogotá and 204 km from Bucaramanga.

The municipality has 4285 inhabitants (2005 ).

Geography

Güepsa borders the following municipalities: to the north of San Benito and Chipata, in the west of Chipata and Vélez, in the south Barbosa and in the east San José de Pare in the department of Boyacá.
