Guerreros Fútbol Club

The Guerreros FC is a Mexican football club based in Hermosillo, the capital of the state of Sonora. It was founded in June 2009 and is one of the 17 founding members of the newly formed Liga de Ascenso, the División as a new second division Mexican club football the previous Primera 'A' since the 2009/10 season replaced.

In the inaugural season of the Liga de Ascenso the Guerreros set equal to several negative records. So they were with only nine goals in 16 home games, the only team that could achieve on its own course no double figures. Away they remained ( with 4 draws and 12 defeats) as the only team without a win. In the full year table they finished with only 20 points the last place and had six points less on the account as the penultimate UdeG. Nevertheless, they were spared the relegation to the third tier, because the Liga de Ascenso was increased in the 2010/11 season to 18 teams. The club moved to the winter break, however the same season of the Liga de Ascenso back.
