Location and description

The Guggernellgrat located between the Welschtobel / Alp Ramoz at Arosa and the Landwassertal. It is located on the territory of the municipalities Alvaneu, Arosa, Schmitten and meadows (now Davos ). The ridge is geologically counted in the Silvretta blanket here - superimposed on the Arosa Dolomites Blanket - partly in crystalline form, partly as sediments.

The Guggernellgrat breaks off towards the northwest, in steep, indented by pillars and channels walls, which are particularly hard climbs due to unreliable rock. Against the southeast branch four major ridges from, from point 2788 the Spitzig Gretli, from point 2795 the Tiaungrat and from point 2810 and point 2744 per an unnamed ridge All these ridges close debris trays on ( Häfeli, Bliberg and Schaftobel ), from the scree slopes to certain places extend to the ridge height. The highest point of the ridge itself ( 2810 ) is a distinctive pyramid and a worthwhile tour destination. The easiest way it can be achieved by Schmitten forth across the southern ridge.
