Gumienice is a village in the municipality Pogorzela powiat Gostyński in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in west-central Poland. The place is located about 4 km southwest of Pogorzela, 16 km southeast of Gostyń, and 70 km south of the state capital Poznań.

History

The Hauländerdorf was re-established in 1743 under the name Guminiec after a depopulation by the plague and the law adopted in Poland in 1717 banning the Protestant religion was suspended for Guminiec temporarily. The result was an above average evangelical population, such as the disproportionate Protestant marriages for residents Guminiecs in marriage register of the parish Kobylin show.

The place was after the Second Partition of Poland in 1793 to the circle Krotoschin and from 1887 with the transformation of the circle to the circle Koschmin. 1908, the town was renamed in Guminitz and 1910 had 469 inhabitants.

In 1975 to 1998, the town belonged to the Province Leszno.
