Gümüşlük
Gumusluk is a village on the west coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. It is about 23 kilometers away from Bodrum.
Place name
The name derives from Gumusluk from the Turkish word for silver ( gümüş ).
History
Traces of ancient settlement Myndos can be dated back to the 4th century BC. Once there was a settlement of Leleges.
Attractions
Church " Eklisia "
In the center there is a 450 year old church. It is now used for concerts. Every year there will be a music festival.
Rabbit Island
In front of the place is the Rabbit Island ( Tavşan Adası ). It is connected by a crossing to the mainland. The island has numerous remains of the ancient city of Myndos find.
