Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå

Gunn -Rita Dahle Flesjå ( born February 10, 1973 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian mountain biker.

Sports career

Gunn -Rita Dahle grew up in Bjørheimsbygd, community beach, east of Stavanger. In 1995 she became the first national champion in mountain biking, cross country. Since then she has received several European and World champion in cross country and marathon. Five times they won the World Cup and was eight times Norwegian Champion (as of 2014).

Four times started Dahle ( 2014 ) Olympic Games: 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she won the gold medal in cross country, after they had eight years earlier, in 1996 occupied the fourth place in Atlanta. 2008 and 2012, they could not finish the race.

Honors

Gunn -Rita Dahle was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame of the European Cycling Union Union Européenne de Cyclisme. She's athlete ambassador of development organization Right to Play. In 2004 she was awarded the gold medal Aftenposten.
