Gunnar Lindström
Nils Gunnar Lindström ( born February 11, 1896 in Eksjö; † October 6, 1951 ) was a Swedish athlete who was successful in the 1920s in the javelin. The launching of Malmö AI, from 1924 Eksjö GIK athlete won six state championships:

He participated in three Olympic Games and won a silver medal:
- VI. Summer Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920: Sixth with 60.52 m (Victory width of the Finns Jonni Myyrä: 65,78 m). The following year ( 1921) he threw 63.98 m personal best.
- VII Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 1924: SILVER with 60.92 m behind Jonni Myyrä ( gold with 62.96 meters ) and before the Americans Eugene Colonel ( bronze with 58.35 m). In the same year Lindström succeeded with 63,35 m a Weltjahresbestleistung.
- VIII Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in 1928: Although it was with 67.77 m in second place in the world leaderboard years, he failed in Amsterdam and came up with 58.69 m only on place 14 (Victory width of Sweden Erik Lundqvist: 66,60 m)
