Gunnar Nixon

Gunnar Nixon (born 13 January 1993 at Weatherford, Oklahoma) is an American decathlete.

Career

Nixon began his career as a high jumper. In the Summer Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore, he finished sixth. He joined the decathlon and won in July 2012 at the Junior World Championships title. With 8018 points, he improved while the Weltjahresbestleistung with the juniors of Dutchman Pieter Brown by 65 points.

2013 he took part in the World Championships in Moscow.
