Gussy Holl

Gussy Holl, actually Auguste Marie Holl ( born February 22, 1888 in Frankfurt am Main, German Empire; † July 16, 1966 in Salzburg, Austria ) was an actress and chanteuse. She appeared in several films with the silent film era.

Life

Gussy Holl 1918 married the actor Conrad Veidt, from whom she was divorced in 1922. In her second marriage she was since 1923 with Emil Jannings married until his death in 1950.

As a singer of chansons in the twenties of the 20th century it was known by a number of literary celebrities such as Kurt Tucholsky or Zuckmayer.
