Gustaf Douglas

Gustaf Douglas ( born March 3 1938) is a Swedish entrepreneur.

Life

He studied economics at the Harvard Business School. After his studies, he directed from 1973 to 1980, the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter and Expressen. Then in 1984 he founded the Swedish company Investment AB Latour. Douglas holds significant shares in the Swedish company Assa Abloy and the security company Securitas AB. Together with the Swedish entrepreneur Melker Schörling he controls the company Securitas AB. According to the U.S. magazine Forbes Douglas is one of the richest Sweden.

Family

Count Gustav Douglas from the Swedish line of the Scottish Clans Douglas with family seat in Stjärnorp ( Östergötland) is a son of the Swedish ambassador, Count Carl Douglas (1908 - 1960) and his wife Ottora, daughter of Otto Ludwig Haas - Heye. Douglas is married to Baroness Elisabeth von Essen and has two sons. His sister Elizabeth (* 1940) is with Max Emanuel Duke of Bavaria, sister Dagmar Rosita ( born 1943 ) was with John Spencer - Churchill, 11th Duke of Marlborough married.
