Gustav von Meyern-Hohenberg

Gustav Freiherr von Meyern - Hohenberg ( born September 10, 1820 Calvörde; † March 1, 1878 to Constance ) was a German jurist, director and playwright.

Life

Meyern studied law in Göttingen and Berlin. Since 1842 he was a member of the Corps Lunaburgia. In 1843 he joined the civil and Hofdienste of the Duke of Coburg ( Ernst I ), was first go. Cabinet and on April 4, 1860 Director of the Ducal Court Theatre, which he headed until 11 September 1868. With his dramas he had little success.
