Guy, Count of Bigorre

Guido de Montfort (franz: Guy de Montfort, † 1220 before Castelnaudary ) was jure uxoris Count of Bigorre one from the house of Montfort l'Amaury. He was a younger son of Simon de Montfort, 5th Earl of Leicester, Alix de Montmorency and the.

Guido took part at a young age in the wake of his father on the Albigensian Crusade. In November 1216 he was married in Tarbes with the much older Pétronille († 1251 ), daughter of Count Bernard IV of Comminges and heiress of the county of Bigorre. This marriage should consolidate the power of his father's position in the South of France. In 1218 he was present at the siege of Toulouse, in which his father was killed. At the siege of Castelnaudary in 1220 Guido himself was killed.
