Guy Innes-Ker, 10th Duke of Roxburghe

Guy David Innes -Ker, 10th Duke of Roxburghe ( born November 18, 1954 in Edinburgh, Scotland ) is a British nobleman.

Life

In 1974 he succeeded his father as Duke of Roxburghe, and was as such until 1999, a hereditary member of the House of Lords. He attended Eton College and Magdalene College, Cambridge, where he studied economics. Subsequently served Innes -Ker in the British Army and attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he was awarded the Sword of Honour in 1974. This year, he was a lieutenant in the Blues and Royals.

He is also a baronet and the 30th feudal baron of Innes, Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers and Freeman of the City of London. He lives in Floors Castle, Kelso, Roxburghshire.

Family

Innes -Ker is the elder son of George Innes -Ker, 9th Duke of Roxburghe, and his second wife ( Margaret ) Elisabeth McConnel ( 1918-1993 ). He was married twice. On September 10, 1977, he married Lady Jane Meriel Grosvenor ( b. 1953; since 1996 Lady Jane Dawnay ), the younger daughter of Robert Grosvenor, 5th Duke of Westminster; the couple divorced in 1990. They have two sons and a daughter. The Duke is married to Mary Virginia Wynn -Williams 1992; he has a son and a daughter with her.
