Gwendolyn Knight

Gwendolyn Knight ( born April 20, 1914 on Barbados; † 18 February 2005 in Seattle, Washington) was an African American sculptor. She received many awards, including the National Honor Award, and two honorary doctorates. Gwendolyn Knight was married to the well-known painter Jacob Lawrence.
