Habanera (music)

A Habanera is a syncopated dance Afro-Cuban origin that is played in 2/4-cycle, the first quarter impact is punctured. This slow, related to the tango dance comes from Cuba's capital Havana. It was developed in the early 19th century from the European counter- dances.
