Origin and use

The Haettenschweiler was designed on the basis of narrow bold sans serif by Walter Haettenschweiler and Armin Haab. The narrow bold sans serif was originally used for the book Lettera. Thus, a similar variant names Helvetica listing has been drawn by the Helvetica ( font). The Impact ( font) also has a similar design approach. Photo scripts designed more versions of the narrow bold sans who were expelled in honor of Walter Haettenschweiler under the name Haettenschweiler. Under this name, the writing was known in the world's episode.

The font is used by the French magazine Paris Match for headings. The British football club Nottingham Forest uses the Haettenschweiler slightly modified in its logo. Microsoft used the Haettenschweiler for Microsoft Office.
