Hagerman is a village 25 km south of Roswell (New Mexico) in Chaves County of the U.S. state of New Mexico; of the approximately 1,150 inhabitants ( 2003), two-thirds of Latin American origin.

Hagerman was built in 1894 during the construction of the Pecos Valley and Northeaster Railroad on the edge of the road; originally named after the nearby Felix River, a tributary of the Pecos River, Felix, the place was soon in honor of JJ Hager Mans, the builders of the railway line, renamed.

Hagerman is located on the New Mexico State Route 2
