The groves (sometimes Hayne, German: Hen, Dutch: Hene ) is a river that runs in Belgium and France. It rises in the municipality of Anderlues in Belgium and flows 72 km from Condé -sur- l'Escaut, France, in the Scheldt.

After the flow of both the former county of Hainaut, as well as the current Belgian province of Hainaut is named. The industrial region in the valley of the Haine is also known under the name Borinage and is the western foothills of the Walloon main industrial zone in the Sambre - Meuse- furrow.

The river is channeled in the lower reaches and feeds the for shipping now disused Canal de Mons à Condé.
