Le Rœulx is a Belgian town with 8191 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012) in the province of Hainaut. It is located 45 km south of Brussels at the crossroads of Paris -Brussels motorway and the Walloon motorway, conveniently connected to Mons, Brussels and Charleroi. The town is twinned with Quinsac in France and in Germany Steinenbronn.

The Castle Le Rœulx since 1433 until now owned by the Prince of Croy.

Districts

Besides the city Le Rœulx there are the districts Gottignies, Mignault, Thieu and Ville -sur- Haine. Ville- sur- Haine and Thieu located along the banks of the Canal du Centre.
