Hal Walker

Harold " Hal " Walker ( born March 20, 1896 in Ottumwa, Iowa, † July 3, 1972 in Tracy, California ) was an American film director and assistant director, who was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1938 for the Oscar for best assistant director.

Biography

Walker began in 1935 as an assistant director in the film Men with no name and was subsequently involved in this function in the production of 15 films. For shipwreck of souls (1937 ) he was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1938 for the last time Oscar award for best director assistant.

After the Second World War, he began in 1945 even as a film director and directed until 1953, eleven films like The Road to Utopia (1946 ), War with the Army (1950), That's My Boy (1951) and Road to Bali ( 1952).
