Halid Bešlić

Halid Bešlić ( born November 20, 1953 in Vrapci, Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian folk singer. Bešlić is one of the most popular and most famous singers in the entire Western Balkans. He also gained outside of the former Yugoslavia in popularity, such as Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria.

Biography

During his school days he had musical performances. After he has served in the Yugoslav Army, he moved to Sarajevo. There he talked with appearances in restaurants afloat. His popularity increased in these five years to such an extent that in 1979 his first single " Sanjam Majku " recorded. This was very successful, so he the albums " Sanjam majku " and " Pjesma o Njoj " brought out by the end of the year. In 1983 his album " NECU NECU dijamante ", which went platinum in no time. The success of the song of the same name shows the translation into Bulgarian, where it even years later again found in the charts. Until 1990, published on an annual basis new albums. These reached platinum status.

Meanwhile Bešlić has released nearly 20 albums. During the war in Bosnia, he organized all over Europe thousands of benefit concerts for the victims. At the presentation in Croatia, he was hailed as the Frank Sinatra of Bosnia.
