Hall of Fame is a song by Irish pop - rock band The Script and the American rapper will.i.am. The song is the first single from the third studio album The Script # 3 The song was sent for the first time on British radio on 23 July 2012.
Background
The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue met will.i.am during their time as jurors at The Voice UK for the first time. There O'Donoghue played will.i.am backstage before some demo recordings, including the song Hall of Fame. will.i.am would then have the song immediately for his new album, but did not give O'Donoghue the lead single from the new album. Nevertheless, he asked will.i.am, if he does not want to participate as Featuring on the song. This immediately said yes. However, it took several attempts to produce the song, there was will.i.am often prevents scheduled. The song was recorded in just one and a half hours in a Dublin recording studio. Following O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan will.i.am called on to produce the song itself.
The song is a classic duet. With the song, the band wants to show that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself and never give up.
