Hamilton New Zealand Temple

The Hamilton New Zealand Temple (originally New Zealand Temple ) is the eleventh temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( Mormons). He stands in a suburb just outside of Hamilton ( New Zealand) and was built in a modern style with only a tower, similar to the Bern temple. He was the first in the southern hemisphere and according to the Bern temple, the second outside North America.

The temple has 4,107 square meters of floor space, an endowment, three sealing rooms and a baptistery. The tower is 48 meters high and one of the few that bear no angel Moroni, as is usual in this denomination. The temple was built entirely in voluntary work by Mormon missionaries, where they were supported by church members from the region with money, food and accommodation. Before the consecration of the temple from March 28 to April 19, 1958, the public was available and was visited at this time of 112,500 people.
