Hamlet Mkhitaryan (born 1962)

Hamlet Mchitarjan (Armenian Համլետ Մխիթարյան; Russian Гамлет Мхитарян; born September 14, 1962 in Yerevan, † May 2, 1996 ) was a Soviet- Armenian football player and the father of Henrich Mchitarjan.

Life

Hamlet Mchitarjan was born in 1962 in Yerevan and started early with the football games. In 1980 he was brought to the first team of Ararat Yerevan - then a Soviet first division. The striker Mchitarjan fought for a place in the team and ran until 1987 with a total of 170 games in which he scored 46 goals. From 1988 to 1989 he went to Kotayk Abovyan, before he got a contract offer from France and even in 1989 moved to ASOA Valence. He remained there until 1994, before he finally went to ASA Issy. In 1994, he also had two inserts in the Armenian national football team.

The football games, he had, however, soon set out as a brain tumor was found in him. After all attempts at treatment failed, he moved with his family back to his hometown, where Mchitarjan died in May 1996.
