Hanna Johansen

Hanna Johansen, Hanna actually Margarete Meyer, ( born June 17, 1939 in Bremen ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

Hanna Johansen studied after visiting the school classics, German literature and pedagogy at the universities of Marburg and Göttingen. From 1967 to 1969 she lived in Ithaca in the American state of New York. In 1972, she moved with her then-husband, the writer Adolf Muschg, to Kilchberg near Zurich, where he is a resident ever since.

Hanna Johansen began her literary career as a translator of contemporary American avant-garde writers and, inspired by their own offspring, as a writer of stories for children. In 1978, her debut novel. The author is a member of the PEN center of Switzerland and a corresponding member of the German Academy for Language and Literature in Darmstadt.
